Link - the Hero of Spirits, nicknamed Steam - is one of the Legend of Zelda characters in LEGO Voidhoppers, appearing alongside Dusk in the Legend of Zelda Story Pack.
Background[]
In the Kingdom of New Hyrule, Link was training to be a train-driver. New Hyrule depended on trains running along the Spirit Tracks that criscrossed New Hyrule, and kept the demon Malladus sealed away. Chancellor Cole, Zelda's right-hand adviser, turned out to be a demon, however, and he removed the Spirit Tracks, destroying the Tower of Spirits, releasing Malladus, and causing confusion and delay.
Link and Zelda (whose body had been stolen and whose spirit now accompanied Link) made their way through a secret passage to the Tower of Spirits, where they were sent on a quest by Anjean, the resident Lokomo, to restore the Spirit Tracks and save the world.
Link was interrupted in the final boss battle by the Demon Train he was fighting suddenly crashing, and the discovery of a black hole inside of it. Red, Green, Blue, and Vio fell out of it, and Link (now nicknamed Steam) joined them, forming the Dimensional Links as he did so.
