Background[]
As a child, Lily Evans was alienated from her friends upon the emergence from her magic powers. She found kinship with Severus Snape, who quickly became her best friend. They attended Hogwarts together, but Lily grew closer to James Potter, making Snape jealous. Following the deaths of Lily and James at the hands of Voldemort, Snape decided to change sides and protect her son from the Death Eaters. She has appeared to Harry on multiple occasions, most notably in the Mirror of Erised and before his "final battle" with Lord Voldemort, alongside James, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin. Harry named his daughter "Lily" after her.
