The Marrow Gates are the first Deadside level in the game. Here Shadow Man meets Jaunty, who acts as a gatekeeper. The Marrow Gates are, like the name suggests, made of bone and resemble a giant human rib cage.

The Marrow Gates is a place within Deadside that is inhabited by lots of Zombies, Deadsiders and Deadwings. Jaunty, the Deadside serpent, guarded the gates until the Man of Shadow returned to the World of the Dead and became his advisor.
