Background[]
Jade Nguyen grew up in Vietnam, where she had a tragic early life which resulted in the death of her mother and disappearance of her father. Orphaned, she was tutored and trained by mercenaries, which led her to developing an assassin lifestyle. Taking the name Cheshire due to her smile being as deadly as her poisoned claws, her terrorist methods made her an instant enemy of the Teen Titans. Eventually she had a romantic relationship with one of them, Roy Harper aka Speedy, and had a daughter named Lian Harper.
